Warren Buffet summed it up perfectly: “Price is what you pay; value is what you get.” He also almost said, “It’s better to buy a wonderful furnace at a fair price than a fair furnace at a wonderful price.” (Okay, he said “company” and not “furnace,” but we – and, probably, you – aren’t in the business of buying companies, though we do buy furnaces. Unlike Mr Buffet we – and probably you – don’t have $68 billion tucked inside the mattress. Or anywhere else, for that matter).
We all like a bargain. And we know all about cheap furnaces because we’re offered them. Often. But we go along with that Warren Buffet idea that paying a fair price for something really good is a better idea than paying a low price for something that maybe doesn’t quite cut it.
The reason we ensure that we send only NATE certified technicians to your home, office or workshop is that we need to know – and YOU need to know – that the person we send knows how the system they’re working on operates. NATE certification assures us – and you – that the technician has the necessary body of knowledge and experience.
A cheap furnace may turn out to be a bargain. Or it may not. And we recommend inspecting the offer very closely indeed, because money saved right now may lead to big bills some time in the future. For our part, we’re very careful about that, because we’ve spent a little over two decades building up the sort of reputation for quality that got us a whole bunch of 5 star reviews on Google and encouraged existing customers to send their friends to us. And there’s one more Warren Buffet quotation that fits our situation only too well:
It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and 5 minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.
